On Friday, March 23, Louisiana State University will honor Compucast Web Design as one of the LSU 100 Fastest-Growing Tiger Businesses. The ceremony, co-hosted by the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, celebrates LSU alumni who have found success in the business world, and highlights former Tigers' local, regional and national influence in a range of industries, from hospitality and insurance to construction, energy, retail, design and more.

Judy is excited to be honored, and looks forward to maintaining the standard of excellence that has made Compucast a leader in the web design and marketing fields.

New Orleans churches and synagogues are going online to attract new members, and websites are becoming increasingly important in maintaining contact with an online society. This week, New Orleans CityBusiness spoke to churches and synagogues about their efforts as well as a number of website design companies who work with these non-profit organizations. Featured prominently in two photos on page 13 of the newspaper (April 8-14, 2011 issue), Compucast CEO Judy Weitz discussed her company's involvement in working with several area churches, including the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Weitz went on to elaborate that Compucast's involvement with churches often grew from personal connections rather than direct marketing from the company.

Judy will offer her first-hand expertise delivering a compelling case-study for best practices in disaster preparedness. She was placed at the center of relief during Hurricane Katrina with the Director of Homeland Security (Michael Chertoff) noting Judy as the "Poster Child for Disaster Preparedness."
